Privacy Policy

Last updated: December 20, 2025

Overview

MossyMind is built to help you plan, focus, and reflect. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Data We Collect

  • Account data: your email address and basic profile info from Google sign-in (such as name and avatar).
  • Content you create: tasks, habits, habit completions, journal entries, goals, quotes, and focus timer state.
  • Preferences and settings: display preferences, time zone, and configuration stored in your MossyMind settings.
  • Sync metadata: device identifier, device name, and last sync time to keep devices in sync.

How We Use Data

  • Provide the Service and sync your data across devices.
  • Save your preferences so the app looks and behaves the way you expect.
  • Maintain account security and prevent abuse.

Where Your Data Lives

MossyMind is local-first. On desktop, your data is stored in a local SQLite database on your device.

If you enable cloud sync, your data is stored in our Supabase Postgres database to keep your devices aligned.

For the web app, authentication tokens are stored in your browser so you stay signed in.

Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with the service providers that make the app work (for example, Supabase for authentication and data storage, and Google for sign-in).

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please use MossyMind with that in mind.

Your Choices

  • Export your data from Settings to get a copy of your content.
  • Delete your data from Settings. Deleted items are removed from active use.
  • Sign out at any time to stop syncing across devices.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the latest version on this page.
